A DAY IN THE LIFE OF TESS...
It is Tuesday, Tess wakes up very early around 6:30. Her morning routine starts with a quick shower. After that she puts on some clothes and makeup. She prefers a pencil skirt and a nice blouse. She drinks a cup of strong coffee without sugar or milk. While having breakfast, she reads the newspaper but only the section of economics and politics. Around 7:30 she hops in her car and drives to work. She has to leave at 7:30 because during rush hour, traffic is a nightmare.
When Tess arrives at work she goes straight to her office. Like most days there is a pile of files waiting for her on her desk. She quickly goes through them while taking some notes on a small notepad.
Now she heads to the first meeting of the day which is around 09:00. Urgent matters are discussed and decisions are made. This is when Tess feels in great shape. She leads the meetings and has the final vote. Today there is a certain proposal that has caught Tess’s eye. She received a letter from the government of Ironhedge which says that they would like to do business with Oestrogenia. She is intrigued by the content of the letter and decides to speak to her boss about it.
But first it’s lunch time. She has a chicken salad with a diet coke. The minister of justice has joined her and while eating, they quickly discuss the Ironhedge letter. They both agree that this could benefit Oestrogenia in decreasing the crime rate.
After having lunch Tess makes a quick presentation about the content of the letter. She then heads to the office of Kim Jung Her, her boss and also the supreme ruler of Oestrogenia. They spend the entire afternoon discussing the matter. Kim Jung Her trusts the prime minister as her adviser and counsellor. At 6 pm they have come to an agreement. Tess may contact the government of Ironhedge and invite them to come to Oestrogenia to discuss matters further. She will do this first thing tomorrow.
When she gets home from work she decides to treat herself to some cake. It was a good day after all. She leaves the dishes for the next day and spends the evening watching documentaries on Netflix.
At 10 pm she gets ready for bed. Tess loves reading before she goes to sleep. She is currently reading ‘’We Should All Be Feminists’ by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. she reads about an hour and a half before she falls asleep.
